Communications Associate Tracy Garza has been actively involved with Transgender Law Center since its creation, having served as one of the founding Board Members, as well as a frequent volunteer and freelance collaborator. As a journalist with almost two decades of experience, Tracy has written for several newspapers and magazines and is a former Mexico-based correspondent for The Associated Press and Reuters news agency, and has also freelanced as Assignment Editor for Univision News in the Bay Area. An ardent advocate for LGBT and disability issues, Tracy has also served as volunteer at the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, GLAAD, the San Francisco LGBT Center, and the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network, and is currently a member of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission’s LGBT Advisory Committee.
