TLC is thrilled to welcome Isa Noyola as our new Program Manager!

Isa was born in Houston, Texas and comes from culturally rich indigenous roots from Comitán, Chiapas and San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Isa identifies as a translatina, gender fluid, activist, two-spirit, queer, jota, pastor’s kid, muxerista, and cultural organizer. Isa is passionate about abolishing oppressive systems that criminalize trans & queer im/migrant communities of color. Her vision for thriving trans communities includes sharing wisdom through multi-racial and inter-generational spaces and amplifying lived experiences through art and culture.

Isa has been and continues to be a tireless advocate for a wide variety of organizations and projects.  She has been working for the past four years as the Program Manager of LYRIC’s LGBTQA youth leadership/workforce department. And, in addition to working with TLC, she will continue to serve at El/la Para TransLatinas as their national advocate, as well as on the steering committee of Familia Trans Queer Liberation Movement, a national LGBTQA immigrant rights organization.

At TLC she will help develop strategies to respond to a wide variety of national policy issues, including health care access, economic justice, racial justice, student safety, prisoners’ rights, and immigrants’ rights. She will create programs to improve access to health care, employment, racial justice, and education for transgender people. And she will work to educate and train a wide variety of audiences, including health care providers, social service agencies, employers, and policymakers, on transgender people’s rights and the issues facing the trans community.
