Across the country, members and allies of transgender communities are organizing today for #BlackTransLiberationTuesday, a call to action around the epidemic of violence and murder facing Black trans women.
This year, as many as 21 transgender women have been murdered that we know of, most of them Black women. Today, we are honoring their lives and sending a message to our state and our society that Black Trans Lives Matter.
We’ve compiled a list of events in cities across the country below. Join one if you can or, no matter where you are, join several tweet chats happening throughout the day for #BlackTransLiberationTuesday.
