Last Saturday, trans actresses, models and performers came together for Drag For A Cause, a benefit for Transgender Law Center at the Oxford Inn in Los Angeles. The superstars donned flashy outfits, brought out intricate choreography and showed the attendees how to truly work a stage.
“I was so blessed be able to go out to the Oxford Inn last night to support my sisters @tracelysette and @vanbarnes10’s event #DragForACause to raise money for the #TransgenderLawCenter and their vital work,” actress Laverne Cox shared in Facebook post.
Trace Lysette, of Amazon’s Transparent, was the MC, while performers Miss Peppermint and Van Barnes acted as co-hosts. Cox gave a surprise performance alongside other well-known trans celebrities like Angelica Ross, Rain Valdez, Mila Jam, Van Barnes, Zackary Drucker and Isis King.
There’s talk of possibly making this an annual event, so stay tuned!
