Ways to support Transgender Law Center

There are many ways to give, and each of them really helps us make a difference. Donations to Transgender Law Center are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Transgender Law Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our federal tax identification number is 05-0544006.

If you have any questions about ways to support Transgender Law Center, please contact our Development Director, Nathan Harris, at 415-865-0176 x307 or giving@transgenderlawcenter.org. He’ll be happy to talk with you about any questions you might have.

Make a donation today!

Donating online is easy and secure—and you can either make a one-time donation or become a monthly sustainer. Click here to make a donation today. If you need help or experience any difficulties, please call 415-865-0175. You can also mail donations to TLC, 870 Market Street, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94102. Thank you for your support!

Become a monthly sustainer

By donating $5 or more every month (charged to your debit/credit card), you provide Transgender Law Center with the dependable support we need while also making giving fit easily within your budget. Click here to sign up today.

Give (or request) the gift that lasts: justice

Give a gift in honor of a friend’s birthday, a wedding, or in memory of a loved one, and protect freedom for future generations—or put Transgender Law Center on your wish list.

Make a gift of stock or mutual funds

Donating stocks directly to Transgender Law Center can have tax advantages. Email giving@transgenderlawcenter.org so we can send you our broker information or answer your questions.

 Workplace giving

Donate through your employer’s payroll deductions

Many corporations and government agencies make donating to charities easy by giving employees the option to have small amounts automatically deducted from their paychecks.

Have your employer match your contribution

Some employers offer matching gift programs — usually matching employees’ gifts dollar for dollar, and sometimes even tripling your gift. Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program.

Through your local Combined Charities Campaign or United Way

Designate Transgender Law Center on your donor designation form in your workplace giving campaign.

Be an advocate within your employer

Ask your company to partner with Transgender Law Center in support of our many events and programs, to improve your employer’s internal policies, or to ensure that your colleagues understand transgender issues and existing legal protections.

Make Transgender Law Center part of your life’s legacy

Name Transgender Law Center as a beneficiary of your savings or life insurance

Name Transgender Law Center as a beneficiary of your retirement accounts, bank accounts, or life insurance. You’ll need our IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN), which is the same as our tax identification number: 05-0544006.

Include Transgender Law Center in your will or living trust

There are many ways that you can make a gift through your will or living trust. For more information, email giving@transgenderlawcenter.org and consult with your own tax or legal advisor.

Amplify your impact!

Join the Transgender Justice Council

Members of the Transgender Justice Council, our major donor society, make an commitment to donate $1,000 or more annually either in installments or as a single gift. This special membership comes with benefits such as invitations to special events, complimentary tickets for certain programs, and invitation-only briefings by TLC’s executive and program staff.

Host a benefit

Invite your friends over for a party to boost awareness and raise support for our groundbreaking work. This is a great way to introduce your friends to the important work Transgender Law Center does. Email giving@transgenderlawcenter.org so we can support you!

Thanks so much for your support!
