Want to join Transgender Law Center and help us meet the legal needs of transgender and gender nonconforming people across the country? We have two volunteer programs. Learn more about each and how to get involved below.

Legal Resistance Network

The Legal Resistance Network is a volunteer opportunity for attorneys.

Our in-house legal team does an incredible amount of work to change laws and policies and safeguard the rights of transgender and gender nonconforming people, but we can’t do it alone. We depend on our robust network of cooperating attorneys to co-counsel on impact litigation; to receive referrals from trans people seeking legal representation in your area of practice; and to volunteer on a variety of pro bono projects, such as answering questions that come in to our Legal Information Helpline, organizing a legal clinic, and more.

Community Resistance Network

The Community Resistance Network is a volunteer opportunity for all!

TLC’s Community Resistance Network, powered by incredible volunteers, allows TLC to expand the range of direct legal services provided for our community. This is an opportunity community members — no legal experience needed — to support the work of our Legal Help Desk.
